Whats the problem with a one price fix all 'computer service' PDF Print E-mail

You may ask what could be so wrong with paying a flat fee of say $90 to "FIX" your computer. Well in most cases this is the sure sign of someone who has no clue what they are doing with your computer. Many times a computer repair can be as simple as replacing a component that should only cost you $25-$30, and you then would be grossly overpaying. At the same time a more severe problem may cost you $150 elsewhere, but you get what you pay for, and will receive inadequate service.

Now, don't get this confused with companies that charge you a set price for a specific service. Companies like, yours truly, Don's Technology has long term experience with all computer problems are ones that often charge a flat fee based on what the problem is, because we are more experienced and know what would be needed for each service, and therefore charge you less for an accessory installation then a complete virus removal.
